Currently, the WiSE Project provides alcohol and drug support services in six areas of England:

We keep our meeting locations confidential to protect the safety and privacy of the women who attend. If you would like to take part in a WiSE session near you, please email our team for more information.

Cranstoun works in communities across England to reduce the harm caused by alcohol and drugs, protect survivors of domestic abuse, provide safe, secure and permanent homes, and support people in the criminal justice system to move forward with their lives.

If you have questions about drugs, day or night, Drugbot is here to help. It’s free, anonymous, and provides trustworthy advice about reducing the harm of drugs.

If you need someone to talk to, these helplines offer a range of information and support.

  • NHS 111: 111
    Free medical advice and support when it’s not an urgent, life-threatening emergency. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Drinkline: 0300 123 1110
    Free, confidential advice if you’re worried about your own alcohol use, or someone you care about. Open weekdays from 9am to 8pm, and weekends from 11am to 4pm.
  • FRANK: 0300 123 6600
    Confidential information about drugs and their effects, available in 120 languages. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can also text your question to FRANK on 82111. Calls from a landline charged at national rate. Costs from mobile may vary.
  • Domestic Abuse Helpline: 0808 2000 247
    Refuge provides free, confidential support for women experiencing domestic abuse, or concerned about someone else. Open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  • Aanchal Women’s Aid: 0800 0124 924
    Free, confidential advice for women in languages including English, Hindi, Punjabu, Urdi, Gujarati, Tamil and Bengali. Open weekdays 9am to 10pm.
